About Us

Welcome to Hartbeespoort Boat Club

Hartbeespoort Boat Club has been around since 1960, nestled in the North West province along the banks of Hartbeespoort Dam.

The following is a few of many activities that are on offer at Hartebeespoort Boat Club:

BOATING

The main activity being boating, with our two on site tractors always willing to jump in to assist with launching your boat. We also have a petrol pump station right along the water side so there is no need for you to climb off your boat or take your boat out of the water while you refuel. Let’s not forget that we offer jetties for you to moore your boat when you would like to quickly hop off to start the braai. The recently installed Safety Area will also give you an opportunity to safely launch your boat in clean and clear water. Our facility does not provide any form of group boat rides. Regrettably we do not cater for fishing and picnic activities as space is limited and we are committed to catering to boating activities within the boat club.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Safety is one of our main concerns and that is why we offer a 24 hour, gated, access controlled environment where the children can roam freely and can have fun in the play area designed for them. Their wonderland has a jumping castle, a swimming pool, a jungle gym and a sandpit for the teeny tots. They can also bustle about on their bicycles with their friends whilst you and your spouse or your friends grab a towel and lounge around the pool. All this at one vantage point whilst you relaxing. Let’s not forget various picnic areas that are scattered around our club allowing you to choose under which tree you would like to enjoy your day.

CAMPING

With Boating being the main activity within HBC, we saw fit to introduce a well-equipped camping site in order for boaters to be able to relax and make the most of their boating weekends. If this is your cup of tea, then please feel free to bring a tent or caravan along to make use of this facility. please ensure that bookings for camping are done in advance as the camping site is often fully booked during peak season, especially during December holidays and around Easter Weekend. Bookings can be done via email or by discussing it with our office staff in the club office

WE REGRET: NO DOGS ALLOWED

DAY VISITORS

If you are coming just to soak up the sun with the family alongside the pool, we offer various thatched lapa areas with seating for an intimate family experience whilst you set up a braai for a appetizing lunch.

Please take note:

NO Day visitors will be allowed to enter after 14:00

TUCK SHOP

In case you have forgotten something at home or need to stock up on a few items we offer a tuck shop on site with all various small things so that your day is not inconvenienced.

Going on a Boat ride and need some snacks ensure to order a platter at the Tuck shop for your water journey delights.

Kids Hungry or just a luscious afternoon Snack you will find that you are covered.

HALL RENTAL

The Club offers Hall rental facilities for any function or event you desire to host.

Thinking of hosting an event and want to have just an extra special add on, Hartebeespoort Boat Club has just what you need a Hall situated close to the water to enjoy the calming waters yet indulging the clean fresh air while your guests will experience an event to be remembered for years.

Want to keep the Party going with a twist – ensure you book out camping sites for your guests to stay over after the event for that one last get together over breakfast before you all drive off.

You have the option of utilizing an indoor or outdoor event as the Hall extends out to a covered area to enrich your special event just a bit more.

The venue comes with Tables and Chairs the option of utilizing on site Crockery is available, the Hall has a Kitchen, Clean up and storage area that is part of the package.

Where is Hartbeespoort Boat Club?

We are situated in Hartbeespoort, in the heart of Kosmos in Simon Bekker Drive. We are close to Johannesburg, Pretoria and Magaliesburg. Come and enjoy a day lounging under our trees, viewing our sunset on the dam in the late afternoon, or indulge in your favorite water sport!
